Snarky, flirtatious, brave and without a doubt unfalteringly kind. His identifiable adjective is virtuous and the quote used in association with this is, “you don’t need a reason to help people.” Unlike previous Final Fantasy protagonists, he is anything but sullen and angst ridden. While he does have his angst, he looks past it with an almost inhuman maturity and optimism. He is kind to everyone, even the people he meets who show obvious contempt for him. He is forgiving and straight forward, honest and noble while at the same time laid back and casual. Though he is one cocky son of a bitch, he does have his own deeply seated insecurities about his past and creation and it would not be incorrect to say that he has been, at times, very lonely.
One of the most important things to note about him is that despite his inability to walk past a female without spewing pathetic pickup lines, he is without a doubt unbelievably in love with Garnet. It took them a while to get past the point of rude comments and acts of insult, but eventually they began developing true and adult feelings for each other, which kept their bond stronger than anything Zidane had ever experienced and most likely saved his life in the end. It is no secret that the Princess is the most important thing in the whole world to him.
Zidane’s monkey-like tail is a defining feature of all Genomes, for reasons unknown. His shoulder length blonde hair is kept in a low ponytail while his eyes are a bright sea-green/aqua color. He’s fairly short, which aids in his ability to get around quickly and fairly undetected (what kind of thief would he be otherwise?). In Trance form, he glows a bright pink, his hair extends to about mid-back and his clothing is replaced with pink fur.
